When I was little I was always intrigued by Halloween…I loved reading Charlie Brown comics and I remember how Linus…I think it was Linus…would wait in the pumpkin patch all night for the Great Pumpkin to arrive…I don’t think the Great Pumpkin ever came…in any case, in honour of the Great Pumpkin I’ve made this simple to sew Great Pumpkin trick or treat bag.
What You Need
Green, orange and black felt
Needle, thread and pins
What To Do
Download and cut out the Great Pumpkin trick or treat bag templates. Tape the two sides of the pumpkin template together and use it to cut out two pumpkin shapes from orange felt. Use the handle template to cut out two handle shapes from green felt. Use the black felt to make the eyes, nose and mouth.
Sew or glue on the face.
Take the remaining pumpkin shape and place the two handles on top.
Place the pumpkin shape with the face on top of the handles and pin together as shown below.
And now just sew it all together.
And that’s my homage to the Great Pumpkin, may he appear for Linus this year.
